Why pure black and near black show different leaks
Local dimming can make a Mini-LED LCD appear perfectly dark when the whole frame contains a zero signal. Near black and dark gray keep image data active, which can expose dimming zones, broad clouds, and halos that pure black hides. Compare all four patterns before classifying a patch.
